The Great Christmas Lock-Up: Our Brand-New Christmas Escape Room
The Great Christmas Lock-Up is our brand-new Christmas escape room: a 45-minute, family-friendly game running at eight Escape venues from 20 November 2026 to 4 January 2027. Teams of 2 to 6 search a cosy Christmas sitting room, crack festive puzzles and unlock ten presents before time runs out.
Meet Jingle
Jingle is a trainee elf, an enthusiastic inventor and the reason Christmas isn't quite going to plan. Determined to stop anyone opening their presents early, he has fitted the Smith family's gifts with his supposedly foolproof festive locks. He's so pleased with himself that he's forgotten where he put the unlocking instructions.
That's where you come in. Search the room, unravel his inventive security measures and open all ten presents before anyone notices. From musical passwords to cracker conundrums, every solved puzzle gets Jingle one step closer to saving his first Christmas on the job.
What to expect
- 45 minutes of play, about an hour in total with your briefing and a festive team photo
- 2 to 6 players per room
- Ages 7 and up; under-16s play with an adult. Nothing scary, just playful festive puzzles
- Clues hidden in cards, stockings, crackers, music and lights, so everyone in the team has something to solve
- You're never locked in. You can leave the room at any time, and your host can give hints if you get stuck
- Dress up. Christmas jumpers, antlers and Santa hats all make the team photo better
